Description | Aboriginal leader Noel Pearson is the speaker for the inaugural Mabo Oration. Hosted by the Anti- Discrimination Commision Queensland and MC'd by Chief Justice, The Honourable Paul de Jersey, this important event is a tribute to Eddie Mabo, a torres Strait Islander who changed the course of Australian history. Eddie Mabo challenged the claim of 'terra nulius' (no ones land) in Australias High Court.
