Alps and Amadeus presents two great genisues side by side: the sparkle and brilliance of Mozart's A major Violin Concerto a perfect foil for Strauss' glorius Alpine Symphony with its themes of mountain climbing in the Bavarian Alps, moral purification by means of ones own strength and the worship of nature. Soloist for the mozart is the supurb Czech violinist Romana Zieglerova at the start of what promises to be a brilliant international career. |
