From Workers' Weekly 21st April 1933:
"THE RAGGED
TROUSERED
PHILANTHROPISTS.
Played by the Workers' Art
Theatre Group.
An Overwhelming Success.
The Worker's Art Theatre presented
the "Ragged Trousered philanthropists."
at the Ingersoll Hall, last Saturday
night, April 15th.
The show was an overwhelming success
and attracted a tremendous
audience of workers, who received
the play in a spirit it deserved. The
worker-artists deserve credit and the
support of the working class of Australia
for the manner in which the production
wat, handled.
At G.15 p.m. the hall began to fill
and at 7.45, a quarter of an hour befor
the scheduled starting time, a notice
stating that there was standing
room only, had to be hung up outside.

disappointed will be given an opportunity
to see the show next Saturday
night, whfen the performance will be
repeated. -
We warn those who were unable
to obtain a seat to come earlier next
