					| Description |
The most interesting character in the play did not appear on stage. He was Tony, the eight-year-old boy whose drawing of a horse (a male horse with all anatomical details accurately recorded) on the wall outside his father's surgery provided the germ of the plot. His prudish father objected to his son's literal approach, his free-thinking mother stood up for him. Result? Mother goes home to her parents. Result? Her parents come to blows on the subject. Result? Their other daughter's fiance runs for his life. |
