| Description |
The 3-act play 'has a very modern theme and setting'. The play, though not a problem play in its accepted meaning of the term, deals with a very real problem, that of the adjustment of a' newly-married couple, separated by four years of war, to the claims, not to say the demands, of the hero-husband's doting family. What to do when her husband fails to appreciate her point of view is the young wife's problem, and the theme throughout is that of the struggle to place the marriage on a sure foundation. |
