| Description | The Tumutumu is a Taonga Puoro, a percussion instrument, which can be made from various types of stone including pounamu, and also be made from other materials such as wood and bone. The tumutumu is very much a southern instrument, used particularly in whare wananga (houses of learning) to accompany intoned learnings. | ||||||||||
