From our advertising columns our readers will observe that Miss Redmayne is to give a Concert of Sacred and Miscellaneous Music in the School-room on Tuesday evening next. Judging from the pieces set down in the programme, and the assistance she has secured, we have no doubt but that such an evening's entertainment, so novel and so rare in this place, will be fully appreciated by the good folks of Otago. A few good old Scotch songs in the programme would have been an appropriate addition to the evening's amusement, but we may perhaps see them in the next. In the meantime we wish her a bumper house, and every success in her endeavours to provide us with an evening's pleasant entertainment. |
