| Description |
'Human Molluscs' are defined by Tom Kemp in the play as persons who use all their energy and ingenuity in 'sticking instead of moving,' in whom the instinct for what he calls 'molluscry' is as dominating as an inborn vice. It is in Tom's efforts to cure his sister (Mrs Baxter) of 'molluscry' that the humour of the comedy consists, and the most charming love story runs through the play. |
