Stronghold Theatre…strip back the text to give us Shakespeare that is dark, meaty and menacing….Whilst most contemporary treatments of Shakespeare dress the old text in new clothing Stronghold go one further, to the core, and whislt they may have ripped the heart out of the old bugger, I've always been a sucker for bold brutal theatrical violence…. |
