Description Based on the book Brecht & Co by John Fuegi, who suggests that much of the work that bore Brecht's name was not written by him. Betts: 'Moved by the stories of the unknown, mostly female playwrights who were responsible for so much of Brecht's reputation, I wrote this play to try to help them find their rightful place in history, and also to encourage us to muse upon the nature of creative relationships, exploitation, intellectual property, and what love does to our brains; and to reconsider our obsession with the absurd idea of 'genius'.
