| Description |
"At the beginning of the year, company members began to conduct workshops with high school students exploring themes of emotion, rejection, and depression... Up the Down Escalator attacks expectations through oblique ridicule, exposing the inherent flaws of logic in the standard images of conformity... another major source of material was the book Melanie, a collection of the writings of a 17-year-old girl from Perth who committed suicide just before her 18th birthday." |
