| Description |
Orr describes the work as 'a site-specific response to the disused Lorne quarry, which has an immense rock face and is an unnatural amphitheatre, albeit now well-reclaimed by nature. The performance is evocative of parallel life forms that are seen in glimmering moments gathering in darkness. Scale and atmosphere are prevailing elements where both immensity and intimacy act together bringing audiences into the space-time of the imaginary. The work is evocative, poetic and pretty crazy, but at its core, the earthly underpinnings ground it as a serious environmental reflection of hope'. |
