Topology and Logan-based flutist Dr. Karen Lonsdale collaborated in an exciting, energetic and soulful performance of “And Do They Do”, which was written by the English composer, Michael Nyman CBE. Nyman is best known for his film scores, including the multi-platinum soundtrack to Jane Campion’s ‘The Piano’.
The ensemble for “And Do They Do”, includes a ‘bass flute’, a low pitched instrument with a distinctive, rich, warm tone. Karen Lonsdale and Topology also performed the famous minimalist work, ‘In C’, by American composer Terry Riley, alongside invited gifted music students.
