On My Big Day is an audio performance, shaped from documentation of interviews in which people are asked to imagine a perfect day of celebration in their future. Taking its form from Helen Cole's We See Fireworks, an archive of people's memories of their most treasured performance adventures. On My Big Day will be a curated collection of dreamed-up fortunes presented as an audio experience for a live audience. The work will explore ceremony, flights of the imagination, and inclusion of life's big rituals. |
