| Description |
Truvy’s Beauty Shop is the centre of all gossip in Chinquapin, Louisiana. Its regular customers represent the “anyone who’s anybody” of Chinquapin from the town’s former first lady to its premier socialite. First written as a coping mechanism for the death of playwright, Robert Harling’s mother, Steel Magnolias explores themes of love, life and loss as six women show strength in the greatest of adversities. |
