| Description |
To-morrow is a play about the Elizabethan dramatist Robert Greene shortly before his death. It premiered as the second half of a double bill with the production Macaire. The performance raised funds for the "purchase of a new Racing Eight for the University Boat Club." A review in the Sydney Morning Herald noted that the audience included Governor and Lady Chelmsford, the Chief Justice and Lady Cullen and the University of Sydney Chancellor Sir Normand McLaudin. This review commended the performance, stating "to-morrow must be pronounced the first Australian play of literary worth—dramatic power combined, that has been originally produced in this city these 20 years passed." |
