| Description | The proprietors of a Chinese Theatre now open at the Springs, Beechworth, are about to give two Chinese dramatic performances in aid of local charities; the plays selected being good specimens of the Chinese classical drama, and affording an accurate representation of Chinese court life during the earlier dynasties of the Celestial Empire. The sum of £16 were the proceeds of an entertainment given by the proprietors of the Chinese Circus, Spring Creek, on Friday evening last, in aid of the funds of the Hospital and Benevolent Asylum. | |||||||
