This is the first stop on the New Zealand leg of the tour, after the Fatal Wedding company split in two. Their last performance was at Toowoomba Town Hall on Monday 28th May 1906. A new troupe was formed to continue on the tour in Australia, while the original cast sailed to New Zealand.
It was reported on Sunday 3rd June in Truth (Brisbane, QLD) p.6 “The Fatal Wedding has departed. This choice comestible has divided itself into two parts, and the Tin-Can Band has been split in twain. The original cast, with section one of the Jam-Tin Orchestra, played Toowoomba to rattling biz on Saturday |
