| Description |
The Miser, although stated in the bills to be by Fielding, is merely
an adaptation to the English stage of I'Avaro of Moliere ... We by no means consider this as the best performance by our Sydney corps dramatique which we have seen-but we are not by any means surprised that it should have been a partial failure. The characters upon which the main interest of the piece depends are of great weight |
