Description “Mr. Allan Wilkie will give a charity matinee on Monday next, at 2.30, at the Newtown Majestic Theatre, in aid of the £.10,000 appeal made by the Institution for the Deaf, Dumb, and the Blind. The cause for which this matinee is being organised should attract a crowded house, but, in addition, there is the prospect of enjoying the work of this company in scenes from some of the more popular plays of the repertoire. Mr. Allan Wilkie, as Cardinal Wolsey, Miss Hunter-Watts, as Cleopatra, Mr. Alexander Marsh, as Cassius, and Mr. John Cairns, as Brutus, will appear in those scenes.”
