| Description | "Three groups of people who don't normally have an opportunity to perform in theatre will present 'Portraits'... They are visually impaired and hearing-impaired people, and a group of over 45s who have been brought together through the Australia Council's Outreach program. 'Portraits' is a series of skits based on the experiences of those performing. It is made up of mimes, performed by hearing impaired people, stories and poetry recitations. One of the show's highlights is a performance by blind storyteller Wally Schofield who recounts his younger days in depression-bound Goulburn and recites some "heart-wrenching" poetry." | |
