At this institution on Thursday night, a farewell social was tendered to Miss L. Back, the secretary of the Rest, prior to her departure on a holiday trip to the Eastern colonies. An enjoyable programme of songs, etc., was carried out, and a number of sailors were afterwards entertained with refreshments. |
