| Description |
A performance and conference event which examines the current state of Australian contemporary art and performance practice. Autopsy will raise topical questions such as: creating a language of contemporary performance; how do contemporary artists produce work in a broader cultural landscape governed by politically conservative and economic rationalist principles; how is value ascribed to artistic and creative processes in the absence of a 'marketable' product; what is a 'marketable' product and who cares. |
