| Description | There was a satisfactory audience at the Theatre Royal last night when the double bill, "A Cup of Tea" and " Handy Andy" was repeated. Rounds of applause were accorded several of the artistes for especially clever acting, Mr. Hagan as the irrepressible Andy, Miss Lucy Fraser as Anne Fitzgerald, and Mr. H. Poole as Squire Egan being the artistes more favoured. The comedy vein runs through both acts of "Handy Andy," the action of which
serves to provide hearty laughter for an hour and a half. To-night the present season of the company will be brought to close by the repetition of the double bill. The Hagan-Fraser combination will reopen the Theatre Royal on Boxing Night (December 26) in the pantomime "Cinderella," which is now in active rehearsal, and which is to be staged on an elaborate scale. |
