In a new house, converted from what was formerly the premises of the National Sporting Club, in Castlereagh-street, the Mammoth Vaudeville Entertainers, organised by the Messrs. Brennan and C. and W. Bovis, were joined in the list of permanent Sydney entertainments last night. The Intention of the management, so it was announced by Mr. William Bovis, in expressing thanks for the cordiality with which the first night's performance was received by an audience which packed every portion of the huge amphitheatre, is to provide "an Australian show for Australian people, by Australian entertainers." |
