At the Hurstville Masonic Hall last Saturday night the Sydney Players' Club presented a three-act drama, 'Heat Wave in the West," in aid of funds for the Penshurst Red Cross Younger Set. The club's producer,' Mr. Edwin Dean, who is a resident of Penshurst, displayed great ability in his handling of the production; The author, Dr. Lukor, of Sydney, attended. At the conclusion of the presentation club members were thank-
ed by Miss N. Siddens (President), who stated that the Younger Set intended to stage plays and concert in the near future for Red Cross funds, which were so-urgently needed in this time of war. |
