Description "Island Life is a commissioned play from the award-winning young writer Jenny McLeod about the relationship between four women. Three of them stay in [an] old people's home, but live most of their time on their respective islands: the fourth arrives lost and forlorn with a hurriedly packed suitcase. Humour and pathos are woven through the happenings of the subsequent weekend, where apparent realities are shown for what they are."
