Mexican Cultural Fund and Consulado General de Mexico present this concert for the 8th Mexican Festival in Sydney. Macuilxochitl (The God of Music, art and poetry in the Aztec language) is a renowned ensemble from the Institute of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. The ensemble, playing native instruments, performs selections of pre-hispanic music, classical music by Mexican composers and folkloric music from various regions of Mexico. |
