| Description | A concert was held in Lambton, in the institute, on Friday evening; the hall was crowded, about 150 persons being present, and 50 were unable to gain admittance. Several singers came from Borehole [Hamilton], including Mr Armstrong, Mr Jones, and a lady amateur who sung several solos very sweetly. Mr E Faning presided, and the whole affair was a great success. | |||||||
