| Description |
This is the UK premiere of Australia's leading contemporary music ensemble, the Australian Art Orchestra with Into the Fire. Led by Artistic Director Paul Grabowsky, nineteen of Australia's finest improvising musicians will be performing with Southern India's Sruthi Laya percussion quartet in a stunning blend of music that breaks down the barriers between jazz and classical, and Eastern and Western musical traditions. Into the Fire is a collaboration which began in 1996 when the AAO toured India for the New Horizons program and established a relationship with master Mridangam artist Karaiku |
