| Description |
Box the Pony is the tale of a feisty young girl growing up on an Aboriginal mission in a family of champion boxers. It is brought to life by the gifted performer Leah Purcell, and it is her own story. Through the unlikely combination of singing and boxing, this young woman seeks to throw of the ties of love and family and escape a culture of violence and despair. Cheeky and very funny, this show was a great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 1999. |
