| Notes | The stone & brick Ryde "Town Hall" was built & opened in Aug 1903 with a Mayoral Ball, but by 1913 the population of Ryde numbered 17,000 residents, so new Council Chambers were built adjoining the main structure. The hall was used for all types of functions, including concerts, dances & film screenings. By 1964 population of Ryde was 80,000 so new Ryde "Civic Centre" was built in 1964 in Devlin Street. | |
