| Abstract/Description |
A review of the 2018 production of 'Rendered,' by the Auckland Theatre Company. Rand Hazou writes about the underlying conflict between right and wrong in Stuart Hoar's play set predominantly in the Middle East. The subjects of war, romance and asylum seekers in the play are discussed throughout the review by Hazou, and he finishes with a summary statement on the relevancy of the play for Aotearoa theatregoers: "In this great liberal war on terror, we are all imbricated in the consequences, regardless of how distant the battlefield from our shores." |
