DRAMA |
| Abstract/Description |
On Tuesday the tragedy of "Jane Shore" was again played. We have had occasion to criticise this performance several times, it is only necessary to say the piece went off well, and gave satisfaction. Mrs. Cameron played better than ever, notwithstanding Mr.Gordon's clumsy performance in the last Act; he ought to be fined for breaking down in the dialogue, which is a common practice with him. Mr. Fitzgerald danced a hornpipe between the performances; he has much improved. The Scotch drama of *' Gilderoy" concluded the entertainments. The whole company appeared completely at home, and went through the piece without much stammering. |
