| Abstract/Description |
On Thursday evening last, Rowe's tragedy of "Jane Shore" was represented for the second time at the Sydney Theatre, to a very full house. Mrs. and Mr. Cameron sustained the two principal characters.
Mrs. Cameron did ample justice in the representation of Jane Shore, and we entertain a favourable opinion of this lady's abilities generally as an actress, although Mrs. C. would appear to a greater advantage were she to raise her voice a little higher, and suit it more to the size of the house; which imperfection (if such it may be termed) no doubt, will be surmounted as Mrs. C. becomes more accustomed to a large house— having performed in so small a room at Hobart Town, is a palliation on that point for the present. |
