Title Design for the Marionette Theatre of Australia's Tales from Noonameena
Abstract/Description This watercolour is part of the Kenneth Rowell costume design archive which comprises approximately 1400 original costume designs for 87 productions created by Kenneth Rowell from 1943 to 1993. The works encompass Kenneth Rowell's entire theatrical design career in theatre, ballet and opera principally in Australia, plus early and later works produced in England. The archive includes a number of original poster designs for productions and festivals, production documentation, sketchbooks, notebooks, drawings, contracts, correspondence, programs, catalogues, photographs, negatives, index cards and recorded interviews with Kenneth Rowell. The item was exhibited in the NLA exhibition, On Stage: Performing Arts in Australia, March - August 2022.
