Title Improvements to the Opera House
Abstract/Description Some important improvements are being effected at the Opera House in York-street. Adjoining the theatre is being erected an hotel on the piece of land rendered vacant by the demolition of some unsafe houses some months previonsly. In the theatre are being carried out a number of necessary improvements. Mr. Morell, architect, and Mr. W. J. Wilson, scenic artist, superintending the work. Several alterations for tbe comfort of play-goers are being effected. The long staircase will be substituted by one having a break in the centre, and the stalls entrance will be from King street.
