Title Spencer's Royal Polytechnic
Abstract/Description DURING the Christmas holidays, when people are more than usually anxious to pass the time in a pleasant and enjoyable manner, the question is frequently asked, " Where shall we go ?" To any person who has lately paid a visit to Spencer's Mechanical Museum, the inquiry is one very easily answered. Doubtless, those who have visited this very interesting Exhibition will not be slow to invite their friends from the country, to enjoy the same intellectual treat. Since the opening of his establishment in October, 1870, Mr. Spencer has always been on the alert to secure any mechanical toy or curious invention likely to amuse or instruct the public ; and it is astonishing to note how the objects of interest have increased during the last two years.
