Title Mr Allison's New Theatre
Abstract/Description Mr. James Allison, who some time ago secured a 31 years' lease of that fine corner property at the junction of Pitt and Market streets, belonging to Mr. William Macquade, of Windsor, for the erection of a theatre, has completed the preliminaries of his project without delay. The plans of the extensive building have been prepared, and we have been shown a photograph of the front elevation, which will be of magnificent proportions and imposing appearance. The architects are Messrs. Hill and Co., of 45 and 47 Sydney Arcade, and Mr. Johnston, of Melbourne. The theatre is to be called " Her Majesty's Theatre," and when completed it will accommodate 4000 persons.
