Sallci's Parisian Puppets – the star attraction In Frank Neil's new revue, "Carry On," at the Tivoli Theatre – are a complete show, in miniature, ranging from grand opera to jazz, vaudeville and athletics. This marvellously-clever marionette attraction has previously been seen in Sydney, but it Is such splendid entertainment that It is well worth repetition. Those who see it for the first time find il hard to realise that the small, but life-like, figures— perfectly proportioned and correctly attired — which, apparently, sing, play musical instruments. dance, and even smoke, arc but puppets at the end of strings. |
