| Abstract/Description |
This was an action brought by Messrs Seligsen and Summerfield to recover from J Solomon, auctioneer, of the Egyptian Hall, George-street, the price of goods supplied. It appeared that last December tho defendant had ordered a quantity of fancy goods from tho plaintiffs, to be obtained in England and delivered without delay the goods wore ordered and, after some delay, ai rived in Sydney- a bill for £60 9s 10d was tendered to the defendant for his acceptance , the defendant declined to accept the bill, and returned the invoices, as the charges were considered excessive and the goods were not imported within a reasonable time. |
