Title English Circus
Abstract/Description Those who have been accustomed to view a circus with the inevitable concomitant of a huge canvas tent must have been rather surprised to know that the comparatively permanent structure recently erected at the corner of Castlereagh and Hunter streets was intended for a display of equestrian and other feats of the ring. Such, however, is the case, and it was opened on Saturday evening, when there was a crowded house in every part.
