| Abstract/Description |
Recording begins with a text panel reading "LEGENDS OF THE NAVAHO INDIANS – FAMOUS FOR THEIR SANDPAINTINGS – SPEAK OF THE TIME WHEN THEIR SHAMANS PRODUCED PIC-TURES IN THE SAND BY MERELY SPEAKING TO IT." The artist performs in a room with recording equipment and various hand drums. They place sand of varying design in different locations and manipulates its character via sound from the drums, audio equipment and his own voice. |
