Duncan Macdougall, lessee of The Playbox Theatre, Rowe-street, Sydney, was to-day fined £5 for having held a public entertainment — "Spread Eagle," a drama — on March 20, the premises not being licensed for the holding of public entertainments under the Theatres and Public Halls Act, 1908.
