Title The precarious lives of actors
Creator Contributors
Abstract/Description This article investigates the precarious lives of working actors, drawing upon responses to the 2012 Actors' Wellbeing Survey, to show how reliant actors are upon highly casualised work to supplement earnings from acting. The precarity of actors' lives manifests in a range of challenges, including, in addition to and partially as a result of, financial hardship, stress on relationships and senses of self-worth.
