Title Domestic Intelligence [The Theatre]
Abstract/Description The Theatre was opened on Thursday evening according to announcement, with " The Tale of Mystery, or the Assassin Brother," with the afterpiece of " Fortunes Frolic." This was the first representation of the former piece, in which the actors, Messrs. Levey, Meredith, Palmer, Buckingham, Raymond, Cooper, and Vale, with Mrs. Love and Mrs. Weston, had studied to become au fait in their respective parts ; the plot was good, the scenery, dresses, and music were in keeping with the piece. The after-piece went off with eclát, and the audience (which were numerous and respectable) appeared delighted with the performance.
