Advance Australia. The Theatre. |
| Abstract/Description |
We have nothing particular to say of either-O, yes ! we had almost forgotten. In the last scene William (Mr. Meredith) is about to suffer death in pursuance of the sentence of a Naval Court Martial, for wounding his captain ; and what will the reader say, when we inform him that a rope, with a noose at the end, was actually introduced before the audience to put round the neck of William ! Now we do not say that this incident is not in the piece, but we do express a hope that the good taste of the Stage Manager will induce him in future to omit so disgusting an exhibition. |
