The social and concert held at the Sailors' Rest Iast Tuesday evening, was a distinct success. Captain Rodick acted as chairman, and the following ladies and gentlemen took part in the programme, which was arranged by Misses Craggs and Chamberlain: -Mrs. Cummins. Misses Cable, Alexander, Pickett (two), Hamburger; Messrs. Bridgwood (two) Viner, Glover, Nicholls and Bolton. The proceeds are to be devoted to a piano fund for the Y branch of the W.C.T.U. This was the first of a series of similar concerts.
