After the Opera. Midnight performance at Mr Rickard's Theatre |
| Abstract/Description |
The last person In the Opera House had left. And then, as If by magic as wonderful as any of Mr Carl Hertz's clever Illusions, stalls and dress circle filled up again. Laughing faces were seen on all sides, and merry laughter rang out in ripples and waves of fun, until the Opera House echoes reverberated the cheerful noise Into a chorus. The audience, there by special Invitation to witness Mr Carl Hertz's new illusion, the Clnematographe, was a highly critical one. It consisted of all the members of Mr Rlckards' Melbourne company, and of many other clever artists now in this city. |
