Title Joe Byrne's Boots
Abstract/Description Girding at minor characters, like the criticism of Byrne’s footwear, in no way detracts from the play’s entertainment value. But it is obvious that a major play deserves the most thoughtful presentation. Watching it come to life on the stage —with all incidental imperfections— it is obvious that the players have done a lot with it—and a lot remains to be done.
